Cyberpunk request Denied before Xbox changed its refund policy

Yeah same issue here, i think I will have to call support tomorrow

Im in the same situation but Id call them mate i cant call them now but i can at 10am which im gonna do and im gonna speak to them about it

I will be honest here, I can't change the outcome here since it was in November, and I believe attempting to request the refund now that its definitely outside of the refund policy days will only result in more frustration on your part. That being said, if your purchase was in accordance with the refund policy and any extenuating announced circumstances then you would have gotten the refund.

For example, Cyberpunk 2077 was allowed to be refunded regardless of the policy because the developers CD Project Red allowed and agreed to it. Other games, without the proper partnership and agreement, are subject to the standard policy.

If you requested a refund and they said it was beyond the refund policy date, and you requested it within the 14 days, and replied to that email for additional review and it was still denied, then it may not be that you waited to long, but that you may have been disqualified by other refund policy considerations such as playtime.

If you like, you can pass on the Service Request number within the email and I can look and add more clarity, but again, when it comes to refund decisions, the forums and the advocates on the forums cannot change or influence decisions made within refund requests.

Same issue. Someone from the Microsoft Support for Xbox denied me yesterday. Today, @XboxSupport tweets out that refunds have been issued to a "vast majority", but all I'm seeing in these threads are people who were denied for whatever reason.

Now because of being having the Request Denied on the Order History for Cyberpunk 2077, I cannot file another request for refund.

How are we going to get this resolved when @XboxSupport says one thing, but the people handling the refunds are denying the requests?

We were ALL cyberpunked.

I have the same problem, I pre ordered the game but was not charged for it until the 5th of December which hurt us financially to start with. The game is unplayable in it's current form and I requested a refund on the 15th of December, well before the
14 days. I was denied and they closed the case so to speak. Then I received a message from Xbox on my console saying "Recently you were denied a refund for Cyberpunk 2077. Since then we expanded our policy to offer refunds for this game. If you still want
a refund, please reply to the refund decision email we sent you and we'll approve it, or visit support.xbox.com/contact-us to request a call or chat." Still waiting to hear from them.
