cyberpunk 2077 says trial on thumbnail when installed with disc

Hello Dimps316, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the game.

Please try deleting the game install and your gamertag from the console then hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down and unplug it for 5 minutes. During this time unplug your modem/router for at least 60 seconds to clear any possible issues there.

When your internet is back up and running redownload your gamertag and install the game and see if the trial tag still remains.

If it does then I'd recommend trying a factory reset via the console settings. Again, delete the game before doing this.

When doing a factory reset you'll be prompted to keep your installed games and apps (except Cyberpunk which should be deleted) and your saves will be stored on the Cloud and would only need a brief resync to your account.

If you're prompted to bring over previous settings or use the app for setup please choose no.

Note: Please make sure you know your email and password for your account before deleting it from the console.

Thanks for letting me know I do know that according to the Xbox Insider Hub (you can download it and sign up for previews of updates if you like) some titles would incorrectly appear with a trial tag.

My suggestion would be to go ahead and play the game (with the disc in the system). Most trials max out at 10 hours. If you get past the 10 then you should be good to go. If you do continue having trouble though it may be an account issue. For that I would recommend logging in to https://support.xbox.com/contact-us and start a chat. When you get to a fellow gamer ask to be escalated to a Microsoft Advocate as they should be able to help.

Additionally, have you tried installing the game using these methods?

• Installing the game from the Microsoft Store:

- Cancel the installation, but keep the disc inside your console.
- Launch the Microsoft Store on your console.
- Look up "Cyberpunk 2077"
- Choose the version of the game that matches the one on your disc.
- Enter the game's listing.
- See if it lets you download it for free using your disc's license.
- Wait for the installation to complete and try launching the game.

• Remote installation via the Xbox mobile app:

- Cancel your game's installation process.
- Eject your disc.
- While signed in to your account, go to Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features, and make sure remote features are enabled on your console.
- Download the Xbox mobile app
- Sign in to the mobile app using the same account you use on your console.
- On the Xbox app, press the console icon followed by "Set up a console" and "Add existing console". (Skip this if you have already set up the mobile app)
- Use the search bar on the Xbox mobile app to look up "Cyberpunk 2077)
- Select the game.
- Press "Download to console".
- This will trigger a digital download on your console.
- Once the installation is complete, insert your disc and try launching the game.
