Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't launch anymore

Thanks for replying. The game will install just normally, first disc one, then disc two. After that I get a notification that an upgrade is needed. I download this upgrade too. After that, I try to launch the game, but it always keeps notifying me that it took to long to launch the game and close the app. It never starts.

If I try the other app, which I have in my library since the pre-order and download of Phantom Liberty, the xbox just keeps asking me if I own the game.

Weird thing is both CP2077 games are about 63GB. When I go to "manage my game" it shows only one installation of about 120GB, but if you open the details, it only shows one game with 63GB and the add on with 10.1 MB.

It's confusing. I just know I can't play it anymore and this is since the purchase of the dlc.

Update:

I managed it now and I also know what went wrong.

After installing the disc, the game demands an upgrade (it won't start without it), which starts the download of the dlc.

The dlc includes Phantom Liberty AND the base game, but without the licence (which is in my case on the disc).

Upon upgrading, it not just installs the dlc, but also the dead base game again. If this process is completed, it is not possible to delete only one of the now twice existing games, because the system can't differ between them.

That's the reason I couldn't start it before. I was always asked, if I own the game, yet it was already in my XSX.

Last time I canceled the download of the second game (63GB) and let only the 10 MB dlc install. This worked.

I just hope that Phantom Liberty is actually on the system now and I will be able to play it, as soon it is officially open to play in September.

Is there any way to check this, like game version or so?

Or will this change when the add on is at last playable?

Hi I really confused when I preordered phantom liberty and when it was installed I wasn’t getting any new missions and I’m on a max level existing character that has been through all the missions except for last, embers so I thought uninstalling and reinstalling it would fix it. But when I went back to install it wasn’t in my add ons and in the Microsoft store the pre order edition was unavailable and the regular version was asking me to pay again. Help plz

If I may ask, is the Xbox not reading the disc for you to install the game? Are you getting an error?

Try to remove everything from the game first and try to install it again from the disc.

If that does not work, try doing a reset on your console.

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

Yeah so far just with cyberpunk and no other disk games. My far cry 6 for example ran perfectly fine and that’s also on a disk.
