    For the past 4 days and over 6 reps I keep getting into contact with Xbox for a in warranty replacement on a defective headset. It's just over 30 days old, and the warranty is good for 90. But every rep says they don't deal with it and have to go through
    the retailer. Who almost all I know only allow 30 days, after that its manufacturer.

    A few reps quickly hang up too after that. I am really at a loss on how to proceed other then keep calling support... I even did a conference call with the retailer head office and Microsoft support, they told them (retailer) the same thing and hanged up
    on him too.

    I feel like i'm going insane.

    Alright, after another 3 reps, and 2+ hours today, I finally got one that said they do not have a stock of the headset for replacement and just offered me credit to my account. Better then nothing but obviously the credit cant be used directly towards a
    replacement headset.

    The fact it took this level of craziness is disturbing for a warranty claim.

    Have you tried going through the xbox support page then warranty there? Make sure that you have your device serial number registered to see if its actually covered.
    Hi, the only contact the website gives, and the warranty book number gives is one and the same. Using the "helpful" chat ai bot and asking for a callback and waiting for that.

    This headset has no serial number. Just a barcode, a model number and a S5V-00014. And I doubt that's a serial number since it's part of the the title from the retailer I bought it from

    I’ve already waited 2 days. This is very poor from MS as they appear to have switched off their support. I’m now left with a broken controller that’s in warranty but I’m unable to claim on the warranty.

    Terrible customer service.

    Free repairs should only apply to warranty claims. Also I don't believe this is the place for this type of support, you should contact microsoft directly for any warranty or repair services. Goto support at the top of the page, select "contact us" and choose
    to either call support or live chat to speak with a Microsoft customer support representative. Good luck.
