Custom Picture Problem

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with being able to change your gamerpic.

In regards to
changing your gamerpic, is your account an Adult account?
Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts.

Additionally, It might take a little while for your custom picture to appear while its being verifed that it’s OK. (If it’s not, it’ll be reverted to the last gamerpic or avatar you were using.)

Are you making these changes via your mobile device? If you are, I would encourage you to attempt to follow these steps and see if they work for you:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
2. Select Sign in, choose your profile, then select My profile.
   
3. Select Customize profile > Change gamerpic. (You’ll need to select
   Switch to gamerpic first if you’re replacing your avatar with a custom image.)
   
4. Select Upload a custom image and choose one to use from your connected device or OneDrive.
   
5. Select Upload.

you might have uploaded a inappropriate picture for it to do that i changed mine no problem sometimes it might be that or they could of disabled the custom pictures again

The system goes with what age you put on your Xbox Account, or on your Microsoft Account, if they have changed it. You can take a look at the information you have put onto your Microsoft Account here:

Please be aware that you will be greeted with a security challenge if you sign in. This is because you are trying to access sensitive information, including your bank and billing info that is saved onto your Microsoft Account.

Are you part of the preview program? Currently it's only possible to upload them on the console if you're in the preview program. Otherwise, you can use the Xbox beta app on Windows 10 and Android to upload one.
