    Custom Backgrounds on Xbox Series X Crash Game Pass


    Recently I have changed my background on my Xbox Series X to a custom image with a size of 4.75 mb. The max is 5 mb for a custom image to be you or background on Xbox. When launching Xbox game pass I noticed the background is now dynamic depending on what your background/theme is on your profile. The background seems to be able to display screen shots, solid colors, and default Xbox backgrounds, but for the dynamic (moving) backgrounds Xbox changes the Game Pass background to a solid gray, assuming for technical reasons. Well, I have discovered that my custom image uploaded via flash drive will attempt to be displayed as my background on Game Pass but then it crashes and leaves me at a black screen! Why wouldn’t Microsoft realize that the image is too big for them to display as a dynamic game pass background, and why didn’t it just turn to solid gray if that’s the case? Anybody else have a custom image as their background and can confirm this? Or if you do have a custom image as your background and aren’t having this issue, how many mb is your image taking up?!

    Dynamic Background?

    At this time, dynamic backgrounds are only available on the Series S/X and can't be customized. If the video you saw was done on a One, then the person doing it is doing something that violates the terms of service.

    If you are on a Series S/X, when you go to settings and change your background, there's a section for dynamic backgrounds.

    Had this same issue, cant finish a game or even the 1st quarter without crashing. Sometimes it even turns off my whole xbox lmao. Series X.. Tried every possible solution, then had the game refunded since it was unplayable. Just downloaded Madden 23 since its on game pass and it crashes too LOL

    The game is actually freezing and crashing hard, and that since the last patch.....it really annoys me, NO

    it's pissing me really off.



    I can't play normal on a Xbox Series X without a crash or a freezing Game. Playing with Xbox Series X controller, 4K HDR 60FPS , cross play enabled (without crossplay the Xbox found no Matches )



    The Game crashes 10 min into play, either when in a match or in menu.

    I have conducted following troubleshooting steps: Reset the game, reinstalled the game, reset the console completly, reset the console, removed everything and nstalled BF2042 again....
