crossplay option is broken

So been cruising the forums noticed multiple threads about crossplay not working. Yes I power cycled, hard reset.. turned off and on signed in and out, loged onto a browser submitted settings to "block" then "allow" hard reset and power cycle again, still nothing.

Setting is set to "allow" but all my games say "nah cross play off" This all happend when I turned my crossplay off last night, since then I haven't been able to turn it back on.. which really cripples my ability to play certain games, as they basically require crossplay to get into the "main pool" of players.

Just a FYI to all experiencing issues DO NOT FACTORY RESET and delete all your games and apps settings etc.. you'll just be redownloading them soon after feeling like an idiot like me. lol. So yeah, Figured I'd go ahead and make a post.

For those of you experiencing this issue I've done literally everything all the way to a out of the box reset and its still broken. So this is a issue for microsoft. Hopefully there's a hotfix soon, and hopefully enough people make microsoft aware of this and it gets fixed soon. It basically renders my games useless without crossplay.

I have a similar issue. I cannot turn crossplay off in the systems menu. I have it on block. I have reset my Xbox and game but still get connected to PS and PC gamers

Hello CracksteadyRiot, there have actually been many records here in the Community regarding crossplay not working, we still don't have any official microsoft position and we hope it will resolve as soon as possible.

Yes but Fortnite is at least crossplay across the board. Warzone is currently optional crossplay on PS4 and mandatory on Xbox One, not a good look.

Crossplay, as an option, will be the future of games.

Unfortunately disabling crossplay in system options results in not being able to find any games during matchmaking, forced me to turn it back on in Warzone last year. So this isn't viable for anyone.

Since I got a PS5 after turning off crossplay in the game I haven't had these issues, there's always games to be found.

On top of this people on reddit are claiming doing this for Halo doesn't actually disable crossplay there's still PC gamers in lobbies.

The main concern is implementing the option in game. And to add insult to injury both Warzone and Battlefield have this option implemented in game but it's greyed out on the xbox version of the game. The option is there but we've been blocked from accessing it.

Crossplay should be optional if you happen to have friends who play on PC. Console players who have been asking for crossplay were asking for Xbox vs PS crossplay.
