    Cross Platform Party Chat Not Working


    I’m actually having the same problem mentioned here, that was never resolved. Essentially, when creating a party with a player on
    PC (does not matter who creates the party), it will act as if I’m connecting to the party for a few seconds and then will tell me there was a connection problem. NAT is open, all services work, in-game chat works, party chat between Xboxs work - it is completely
    isolated to Xbox<->PC party chat. We have restarted both systems, restarted both routers, had each of us start a party... this issue has been consistent with three different friends, individually, so I’m certain it’s something on my end. I have all of the
    ports requested opened on my router. Any further suggestions?

    Cross-platform chat using the Xbox party system or chat system is not possible. You can still send text messages cross-platform though. Using other third-party apps such as Skype does permit you to go cross-platform though. Hope this helps!

    No. Cross-platform gaming and voice chat (messaging and party) using the Xbox chat system are not possible. You can send text messages or use Skype cross-platform though.
