Crippling IE Bug on 360

About a week ago IE started giving me strange messages.It usually only happens in Yahoo pages.I go to Yahoo.Everythings normal.As soon as I see a link to an interesting article I click it and get the message: "Cannot download file.Xbox does not support downloading
files to local storage." It only does this on yahoo pages but has happened on Xbox.com before.So Yahoo is now useless because I cannot view anything.This all happened on a 360 slim 4gig with 250 GB hdd installed.Its not the newest model but its the model
that came before it.

Already looks good last-gen. Honestly it's kind of pointless. I'd get it because I'm such a helpless fanboy, but only if they also improve some of the crippling bugs it has. That bug in particular were you literally cannot pull out your gun in multiplayer but just punch instead is the worst bug of any video game ever.

 

A lot of pages on the internet now have background downloads for cookies, etc on their pages. On a pc you have your virus checker to help prevent some of the more malicious ones. An xbox does not have these checks and balances so perhaps this is the reason
that you cannot visit those pages.

 

Yahoo uses Bing so I dont get it.Like I said it does it on this site occasionally but only on a few threads.On one thread I clicked on it kept trying to download HaloJollys profile.Then the message popped up.Its obviously trying to download more than just
cookies.Ive uninstalled and redownloaded but get the same thing.

 

I said cookies, etc. It's the etc that is the worrisome thing. You don't know what may be trying to download from the site and the thankfully, the console is blocking it and saving you a lot of hassle. If you must see that particular profile perhaps you
should use a PC.

 

I wasnt trying to download anything but my console thought so.I was trying to view a topic of discussion on these forums and it went to her profile and tried to download rather than opening the page I requested.Its really annoying.I use Yahoo to check out
the news but now I cant use Yahoo.I turned off the cookies but it didnt help.

 

I reckon the issue is not actually one of the console's personally.

I actually think Yahoo is not sending files correctly to the browser, and it's picking them up as a download instead of a webpage.

I would suggest contacting Yahoo about this issue if that's the case, it's their website :/

 

Why would I send it to Yahoo? Its MS browser and console plus Yahoo uses Bing search.Not likely MS will ever fix it.They never fix anything these days.
