Credit on kids account

My son has Minecraft on his iPad, I may have originally bought it via my Apple ID but he is signed in as his own Apple ID and wants to buy a one block game. I bought a £10 Microsoft credit and sent it to his account yet when he tries to purchase it won’t allow him to use the balance that he has showing on the family account under his name.. Please help

Let me help you with your concern today. Please note that this is a public forum, I apologize for a delay in response.

The Microsoft balance is not showing up when he is making the purchase in-game on his iPad, right? For in-app purchases on an iPad, it will only allow payment methods that are available for Apple App Store and Microsoft balance is not supported in there.

In this case, you can purchase the Minecoins directly through Minecraft.net so your son can use his MS balance. Once he has the Minecoins in his account, he can then purchase the content he wants in-game.

1. Please sign in your child's account in here https://www.minecraft.net/marketplace/buy-minec...

2. Purchase the Minecoins then use Microsoft balance as payment method like in the image below.

3. After completing the purchase, restart Minecraft on iPad and check if the balance is showing up in Marketplace.

It is against the terms of the program to transfer Credits between accounts.

And I should add he has his own credit card linked to the account, you can't be a "kid" and have a credit card so it's not that either.

I can try, but i have to add a credit card to the kid account, what i doesn't wanted.

It is a good idea to never let your kids have access to a credit/debit card on your account. Give them a child account and lock down the adult account.
