Credit going to wrong account despite switching profile.

I have discovered an issue within the redeeming process that needs rectifying.

I purchased some credit from Game today.

My daughter purchased Terrarria.

We get home and she puts on her game.

(Signed in via her account, which is a linked family account, so is connected via my account)

I want to redeem my codes, so I carefully make sure to switch profile to mine. Which worked fine, my nice big Titanfall background shows up etc. I redeem the codes, delete some game to make space and then go to purchase Dying Light.

When I get to the payment options, not credit.

Checking with support, the credit has gone to my daughters account, and after 2 hours of support chat, there's no way to get the credit back to the correct account.

Not happy.

Switching profile to new account

Hi Serapheva,

Can you follow the steps below and let us know if the problem persists.

Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).

Select Download Profile.

Note Not seeing Download Profile? Press X to sign out of your profile.

Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

Now, enter your Microsoft account password.
Note If your account is an Xbox LIVE child account, the parent’s Microsoft account information is required to download the profile.

Select the storage device for your profile (for example, Hard Drive).

Your profile will begin downloading. Once your profile is downloaded, you can choose whether or not you want to require your Microsoft account password to sign into your profile.

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately, if support cannot help with the credit then there is nothing anyone here can do to help. Only phone support can assist with billing issues.

However, if you were looking to purchase a game or DLC then you can do so from your daughter's account. All items, except avatar or in-game items, will be available to your account on the same console.

this is what your going to need to do to switch the emails on both account a 3rd account does need to be made.

Regarding with your credit card. Your account must be suspended and you need to contact support for assistance.

Please review these steps.

Press the Xbox button  to open the dashboard and go to Profile & system.

Review the account that is connected to the console. If you need to switch accounts, select Add or switch.

Choose the correct profile to connect and go to the Store to continue making your purchase.

That is the account that I used to make the purchase. OK, if I log in to my MS account, that account has the purchase history, if I then switch over to my Xbox profile, staying in the MS account. That is the same profile that appears when I log in, for the refund process! It's the same account!!!

Is that the issue, that my MS account is linked with the wrong Xbox profile, do I have another mysterious Xbox profile that I don't know about?
