    Credit Card expiring on XBOX app for PC Notification


    This annoying Banner notification has been bugging me for 1.5 yrs. My credit card is years away from expiring. I checked the account and the ONLY credit card they have on file is entered correctly and Microsoft still happily takes my monthly subscription. I have also dismissed the notification but no matter what when the app is re-opened sure enough there it is again! As such Microsoft no longer has phone support, and reading and searching through here it seems on one thread someone actually was able to contact Microsoft and they corrected it. Other than that I can not seem to find a single working answer in any of these forums yet there are ALOT of these posts and questions and no answers. If there is a solution on here for this please link it. Thanks for any help.

    These steps can help you, give it a try.

    Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

    1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

    2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset.

    3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

    4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.

    5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

    as i said, there is no "product" it shows nothing. only in my credit card's app it says, and i also get notifications.

    Hello Sloppybackfat! Be sure to see if the credit card is still active and not expired. If it isnt expired then delete the information off the xbox and enter that credit card back in, then it should work again.

    Same problem here and apparently Microsoft don't bother to give an answer. Not a big issue, just annoying having that big green notification on the top of the screen.
