Hello Dave, most of the time you won't be able to, after a Microsoft account is closed/deleted, it's on hold for a time not specified by Microsoft, only then then that you'll be able to create an account with the same name.

Hello, I have a question regarding on creating a new Microsoft account. I want to deactivate my another Microsoft account and it says that I need to wait for 30 days until it become deactivated, after 30 days, can I use again the email that I used on the previous account and make a brand new Microsoft account using the email I used on the account that is currently on the process for deactivation.

According to this. No. You wont be able to recreate a new account with the same details after its deleted.

If you've created a new account with the new email, which appears to be the case, you need to create a dummy microsoft account with a new email to move this account over to, freeing up this email to change his account to.

if its an outlook or live email created with microsoft then it auto creates an xbox account as it auto creates a microsoft account, if you used a third party email like gmail then create a new alias, make that primary then remove the email address.

if you created a new microsoft email then that is basically a new microsoft account. you cannot transfer anything.

The Xbox account IS the Microsoft account IS the email address, they are one in the same.

you can create a new alias on the original account then make it primary then after a week or so remove the old email alias, just make sure to update any sites you need to keep with the new email alias.
