Creating an Xbox Live account won’t work without having an Xbox Live account (Xbox 360)

Yes create an xbox live sccount on your console

When your create a profile it will.ask you to.join xbox live select join

Then it will.ask for.a emailnaccount

It.doesnt have to be an outlook.com though it is for thenbest results as not having one causes.problems like if you have a habit of NOT keeping your personal info upto date and forget your details

Using an non ms email.account will still create a new ms.xbox account but ifnyou let the email.get deleted or expire in the futuee its harder to recover if you forget all your details and adds one more step of recovery

Unlike if you use an ms account you are active on that account therefore its unlikely to get deleted or changed

Thank you for the answer, but what happens for me is that it checks for an internet connection first, and as you could tell from the post, I cant connect to the internet.

If you already played on your Xbox 360 and want to keep that progress on your "soon to be Live" account, skip the following paragraph.

If you are just starting with Xbox and didn't have any previous gaming done on your console, simply go to
https://www.xbox.com and create your account there. You can then download it later to your console. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU INTEND TO BRING YOUR EXISTING CONSOLE PROFILE ONLINE!!!

Now to get your console online.

Usually, such "captive WiFi Portals" store the MAC Address of the device that signed in. So use your regular PC/Laptop to sign into your WiFi, then find the MAC Address of your network interface.

To find that, open up a command prompt on Windows by pressing Windowskey + R and type "cmd", then press OK.

In that black command window, type:

IPCONFIG /all

This will list some information about your network adapter(s). Find the network adapter that is used to connect your PC online, and find the line about "Physical Address". It should have a MAC address that looks like this:

1A-2B-C3-45-DE-F6

(Six pairs of numbers and letters from A-F and 0-9)

Write down that MAC address, and go to the network settings of your Xbox 360. On the Xbox 360 you can go to the advanced network settings and set a Custom MAC address. Copy the MAC address you wrote down from your PC to the console.

Make sure your PC/Laptop is now turned off, and is not accessing the internet at the same time.

With the cloned MAC address, the Xbox 360 should now be able to connect to Live. Do a connection test to Xbox Live in the network settings to be sure.

If necessary, have the console update itself after it connected to Xbox Live.

If the console still can't connect to Xbox Live, contact your Network provider for a solution.

If the console was able to connect, it now depends on if you created a new account above, or if you want to use the account from your console.

If you want to start new, press the guide button and choose to "Download Profile". Provide the Email address and password you used on the Xbox.com website, and it'll download your profile to use.

If you want to bring your existing Gamertag Profile online, sign into that profile now, and choose "Join Xbox Live" in the Guide menu.

Provide a Microsoft Account email, and follow the on screen instructions to bring your console profile online.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to create an Xbox Live Gold account without the Xbox Live Gold membership, and that goes for the 360 accounts as well.
