Create an option for audio delay setting within Xbox itself?

Unfortunately, I am using a TV with high input lag for gaming with my Xbox One S. When connecting the Xbox to a receiver I can set the audio delay in the receiver to match the delay in video on my TV. I have started using headphones connected directly
to the Xbox One controller, however, and there is no way to delay the audio within the Xbox itself. Is this a feature that could be enabled and/or created in the Xbox operating system? Thanks!

Awful audio delay

So I've had my Xbox one since it was first released. I had this issue once before and I guess Microsoft released an update that fixed the audio delay. For the last month the audio delay has been terrible and gets worse over time. My audio settings have always
been the same. Don't tell me it's my cables because when I ran the exact same cables from my STB to my TV/soundbar (no Xbox one). The audio was perfect. I've tried every different setting in the xb1 audio settings. The video settings...everything. If anyone
else is having really bad audio delay or know of a fix ...I'd love to hear some feedback. I can normally resolve things myself but this is my last resort or I'll just have to do away with the pass through. MY setup is and has always been:

STB HDMI to Xbox then hdmi out to tv. I run optical from the Xbox to my soundbar. I have hdmi audio disabled in audio settings and optical audio set to stereo uncompressed. I've tried bitstream out on dts digital surround and Dolby digital and get no audio.
(Never have). My soundbar is fairly old: polk audio surround bar 3000. STB is x1 **** model no: mx011anc. TV: Element ELEFW502

Sound Issue

Hi, could you check the audio settings on the Xbox.

In particular check the HDMI options, is HDMI audio turned off maybe?

Xbox 360 does not have a narrator option so this is likely an audio setting within the movie you are watching. Can you check the audio settings or options within the movie's menu to check?

Interesting post, thank you for trying and posting your findings.

I've had the audio delay issue for years and tried everything. I had the nu8000 Samsung TV before and recently got the qn90b and the issue is still present.

My set up is, Xbox series x > qn90b > onkyo 676.

If I do 5.1, stereo uncompressed, mono, there's no delay. There is only an audio delay with dolby atmos for home theatre option.

Your suggestion does not work on my end however, because the only way I can set the qn90b to pass-through is if I unselect the dolby atmos option under it, which allows me to change audio output format from auto or pcm, to pass-through but when I do that, the Xbox series x no longer detects my set up as dolby 5.1/7.1/atmls capable and says not supported so I can't even force the Xbox to output atmos.

As for the qn90b audio delay option, it's already at 0, and the delay is very noticeable in shooter games, but especially while watching movie.

That setting isnt there because my headset is wireless and has adjustable audio options on the headset itself

Try "sound/audio"set ups through the dashboard or options within the game. That may effect it, not sure.
