Crazy absurd audio lag...... still not working properly

Display Discovery is a like a Dummy protection feature for the xbox settings. It will read your TV's optimal settings but some things might not work properly having it enabled.

Turning it off (for me at least) reduced the input lag of my TV and audio and allows the HDMI 5.1 audio going to your TV to "pass-through' out of your TV's digital out connection.

I wonder if a Microsoft employee will read the simple solution and laugh at the absurdity of it.

Is it crazy to wish for the obvious solution?

Okay I just think it’s absurd up to threeeee weeks seems crazy I guess I needa be more patient that’s just crazy to me I haven’t even received a tracking number yet thank you tho

I’m going through this on the Sonos support forum now. While I was running a couple of checks, I realised that I had it a little bit wrong here:

With bitstream, there is no audio lag when playing blu-rays and I do NOT tell the Xbox to allow the receiver to decode the audio.

There is audio lag when playing games with this setup.

If I tell the Xbox to allow the receiver to decode blu-ray audio and the audio is being output through HDMI, the audio plays but the blu-ray picture freezes. I don’t believe this is an issue with the tv or Sonos because i can still move through the pop-up
menus with the picture frozen in the background and the sound playing.

If I disable the HDMI audio and use the Xbox’s optical output directly, it works as per the previous (blu-rays fine, games lagging).

Yes it's like a player lag. The game isn't lagging , it's just my person that seems to me lagging and unable to move properly at times I have restarted and everything but still having problems
