Crave TV app freezing when trying to watch House of the Dragon

Hi;

I have an issue with the Crave tv app on my Xbox One. While trying to watch episodes 2 & 3 of House of the Dragon the show constantly freezes up after appx. 5 -10 seconds and can not recover. I watched the 1st episode without issue last week and can watch other series (for example West World) and movies without issue. I have also tried the 2 episodes on my cell and laptop after signing into my account via the Crave TV website and the episodes play fine there so the issue is within the Xbox app and isolated to specific content.

I have uninstalled the Crave tv app on my Xbox and re-installed and it had no effect. I have also signed out of my Crave tv account within the Xbox app and signed back in, again no effect.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or similar issue with other content via the Crave TV Xbox app and if so how/were you able to resolve issue?

Thanks for the post. You are the 1st reporting the issue affecting more than House of the Dragon.

I just had my friend try on his Xbox, a Series X and he is having no issue at all. So perhaps these issues are isolated specifically to the old original Xbox One. You and I are the only ones to post what Xbox we are using.

I thought the same thing yesterday but unfortunately the episodes wouldn't play at all in the Edge app. It didn't occur to me to try another show or movie so I'll give that a try just to confirm if even in Edge there is a playback issue with this series or Edge just can't play video's from Crave at all.

Forgot to mention, I went back as a test and tried episode 1, it's now freezing just like the other 2 episodes. Issue still completely isolated to House of the Dragon, everything else I try on Crave plays just fine.

I am not an insider nor part of any Beta build so status quo on both fronts there.

Yes I actually do have external drives so I disconnected them and installed the app directly on the Xbox however unfortunately it had no impact. Same for the DNS changes I'm afraid.

Please try this, let me know how it goes :
1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again
