    'Crash Of The Titans' and 'Crash: Mind Over Mutant' backwards compatibility?


    I'm not sure if this is appropriate to ask about, but I'd like to know if the Xbox 360 titles "Crash Of The Titans" and "Crash: Mind Over Mutant" will at some point in the future be compatible with the first Xbox One and the Series S|X. This may not even be entirely up to Xbox itself, and whether or not an older Xbox title (360 and below) is compatible with the Xbox One or up is completely up to the game devs, I'd still like to know. f anyone knows, please reply!

    I don't expect you to know this, but will the backwards compatibility program ever return? (Maybe for the New-Gen Xbox Console?)
    We don't know for sure, but there are no plans at present. We are just gamers like you, we don't work for Microsoft. The main reason why the program ended was due to difficulties in obtaining the licenses to make these old games backwards compatible.

    Xbox 360 hardware and original Xbox hardware are uniquely dissimilar to that of the Xbox One and Series X|S. This means that to make older games work on the later hardware requires each game to be converted/reverse engineered. This is no easy task. Meaning that just to make one game BC takes weeks. When you insert a BC Xbox 360 disc in an Xbox One or Series X you'll be prompted to download an update, this isn't an update though, it's the full game, just repackaged.

    The backwards compatibility program ended in 2021. So anything that was not made compatible by then, won't be.
