Craeting a new email associated with an Xbox account to be able to apply Xbox family...

I'm going round in circles. When my 10 year old son son got his xbox 2 years ago he had no email account so I registered everything under my email. As I am the organiser I am unable to set rrestrictions to the organiser account. Can I change my sons Xbox account to a new email without losing any gamer history or his gamer tag which will then allow me to set restrictions to that new email/xbox account via the Xbox family app?

    :)

Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

You can change the email address associated with your son's Xbox account, however, you cannot use existing Microsoft email domains like @Outlook.com, @Live.com, @Hotmail.com, etc. as well as an email address that is already associated with an Xbox Account.

For detailed steps and information on how to do it, you may check out this link; https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro....

Kindly give it time as sometimes, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to apply.

I have done all that. Sent the verification. Signed in his new account but when I go to the Xbox app it's still under my email account. Nothing has changed.

And by doing this he wont lose any of his gaming history, scores or name tag etc and I will then be able to add him to xbox family app?
