Could you do complete remakes or remasters of Blitz the League 1 & 2?

I totally feel you on this. Blitz: The League 1 & 2 were unforgettable — gritty, over-the-top, and genuinely fun football games that broke the mold. You’re not alone in wanting to see them come back. A lot of longtime Xbox players have great memories tied to those games, and a remake or remaster would hit all the right nostalgic notes.

That said, Blitz: The League is owned by Midway Games, and after they shut down, a lot of their properties — including Blitz — became part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. That means Microsoft or Xbox would need to work out licensing rights with WB to even start thinking about bringing it back, remastered or otherwise.

The steroid mechanic you mentioned is part of why it got banned in places like Australia and Germany, and yeah — removing or tweaking that part could help make it marketable again. But ultimately, the decision to revive it sits with the current rights holders.

Reach out to Warner Bros. Games on social media or their support page to show interest

Support other revivals or retro-style football games to help show there’s still a strong demand for titles like Blitz

It might not be in Xbox’s hands at the moment, but the more fans rally behind it, the more likely it is someone will take notice.

If they can do the remaster/remake right then I see no problem with them. For instance the remake of Pokemon Red/Blue on GameBoy because Leaf Green/ Fire Red on GameBoy Advance. It added a bunch of stuff including extra areas and balance changes to all the
Pokemon. The remaster of the old Kingdom Hearts games were nice also the HD collections of Hitman and Metal Gear were very pretty.

If I could have any new remake/remaster I'd like to see: Jet Set Radio/Jet Set Radio Future, Burnout 3, SSX Tricky, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1-3 (that actually plays well), Blue Dragon, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 and then finally Blinx: The Timesweeper.

Remakes and remasters can be awesome if the developers really take the time to polish everything. I think a good remaster/remake should feel like it could be a brand new game which was just released this year. But sadly a lot of remaster offer nothing
more than some better graphics and a better frame rate. I think the old Hitman games could really benefit from a good remake since they were very ambitious games and turned out a bit clunky back then. It would be amazing to see a remake with the current features
Hitman 2 has.

@Genchy a bet about what? that a gears remake is coming? I wont bet because i agree with you.

What im saying is (and this is all hypothetical) say Gears 4 is ready to be released in q1 2016, if they were to remaster gears 1 and release it in q4 2015 i would be willing to bet you would see gears 4 pushed back. If they also plan to release gears 2
and 3 remastered, then surely they are going to push back gears 4 again as to maximise revenue you wouldnt release the games too close together.

This is (in my opinion) how the gears remaster is going to have an effect on gear 4.

Do i particularly want a Gears remake? No. Would i play a Gears remake? its highly likely depending on what else is released

Even though there's only one and I'm sure it's a very niche game, I'd like to see some kind of remaster or remake/revival of Pokémon Snap. I mean think about all of the high quality pictures you could take nowadays and so many Pokémon (even though I only
really like Gen 1 and 2).
