Could Xbox Series X bricking be from power cord?

If you have an Xbox One S or an Xbox One X, you can use its power cord with your new console. The power cord from the original Xbox One would not work with a Series S/X console.

It could be either the cord that connects to the brick or the brick it self also check to see if there is a voltage issue with the outlet and make sure it is plugged in to a wall not a power cord or power strip. I would also purchase a complete spare
cord or borrow a friend's first to see if that helps and if not it could be that perhaps the xbox was hit by a power surge or something that caused damage.

First, move the power supply brick to where you can see the light on it. Press and hold the power button on the Xbox for at least 20 seconds. You'll hear it beep and power down.. keep holding that button and watch the power supply brick light. When that
brick light goes orange, that's when you know it's fully off. Then go ahead and unplug the power supply brick cord from the wall and from the Xbox. Go ahead and disconnect the cable from the brick so that you've got two piece of your supply and cord. Give
it a minute or so, and then plug the brick and cord back into each other, then into the Xbox, and finally into the wall again. Press the power button on the front of the Xbox.
