    Could we get streaming over USB 3.0?


    Given my setup (being over 100 feet through many walls from the router with only 1 hard wire) It would be much simpler to run a USB 3.0 cord from my xbox to my PC. Although, I'm pretty sure gamestream over usb 3.0 is not possible currently, so I was wondering
    if we could get an update in the future to allow this?

    I know you can stream media over USB and the 3.0 bandwidth should be more then enough for streaming (more so then Ethernet with less latency)

    My question is I was thinking about getting a new router with the usb port and a 1tb external hardrive and wanted to copy my movies onto the hardrive and be able to stream over my wireless network could i watch movies that way ?????

    Not enough space

    Is the external drive USB 3.0 and 256GB or over in size? if it isn't this could be what is causing the issues with games saves.

    after update Xbox One won't recognize USB drive

    I believe it requires a USB 3.0 drive for game saves, but USB 2.0 drives work for streaming media. At least, they worked before the update.

    i actually havent found usb 3.0 to cat6, cat5 doesnt have high enough bandwidth. obviously that would be preferred. cat 6 is so cheap. if you find them let me know. im sure we will get them over time. but maybe not, i dont really know the bandwidth of usb
    3.0, possibly cat 6 isnt high enough.
