    Could really do with some help when recording game clips.


    I have had this issue since getting my series S, the game clip feature refuses to record audio.

    I have seen that this has been an issue since as far back as 2015 and xbox do not seem to have addressed it.

    I have tried following troubleshooting guides but nothing works, I currently have my audio settings set to stereo uncompressed but this isn't working, the clips I record are still silent.

    I only posted this here because its starting to ger jarring and the fact that xbox haven't really addressed it is even more frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

    Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

    Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

    I would but I'm pretty sure I tried this a few months back when following troubleshooting guides, it didn't work.

    It's very temperamental as it happens on some games and records audio without issues on others.

    The most recent game it failed to record audio on is halo infinite.

    Plenty of people watch long game clips. Look at how popular some YouTube channels are that do long playthroughs of games. Of course it would be better if it could record longer clips, because that wouldn't stop the "30 seconds is all you need!" crowd from
    recording their short clips and it would also satisfy those who want to make longer recordings.

    I would be interested in putting some clips forward for this montage. I have a HD PVR so if anyone wants their clips recorded in HD then they could just put the clips they want in their fileshare and ill record them. I dont know how to send the clips though
    to the person needed any suggestions? I also dont want to take lead in the project but ill help with capturing HD game clips
