Corrupted Disney+ app on XboxOne full removal

So, I appear to have corrupted my Disney+ app by being impatient & trying to fast forward a movie I was starting before it had fully loaded & begun. On the screen, my movie timeline appeared at the bottom of the screen but the blue loading circle was still going. Everything then froze. I waited for a minute or two, then I quit the app & restarted. Now, the app loads, I can select my profile & browse and select movies. However, any movie I select will only get to the loading screen & no further. Additionally, I think it's causing some overdrive on the CPU because everything (switching apps, launching the menu from the X button, etc) becomes excessively slowed until I restart the whole box.

I tried uninstalling (which I had to do after a restart without launching the app. It wouldn't uninstall if the app had been launched first) & reinstalling. Same thing.

My question is, how do I FULLY remove the app from ALL memory before I reinstall it? I can see it still appears in my apps list as "uninstalled" under the Storage menu in Settings.

Hello, in order to fix your issue I will recommend you some basic troubleshooting steps that you can try on your console, please follow through them.

The following troubleshooting step will help you clear out your MAC address:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Another step that you can try to resolve the issue, would be to remove and re-add your account. In order to do that please go to: settings> account> remove accounts> remove your account.

You could also try this troubleshooting step to clear any corrupted data from your device:

1- Go to settings on your Xbox

2- Select system

3-Select storage

4- Clear local saved games and your console will automatically restart

Note: When doing this step please make sure that you always play online so that all your data is saved to the cloud

If the issue still persists after going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 10-15 seconds plug all your cables back in and then restart your console.

I had exactly same issue.

I went to my apps and games, then to the full library, then to all apps owned, goto the Disney plus app, push the three line button on the controller, goto manage app, then install.

Hope this works for you as well.

It seems like Disney has opted to use the Redstar streaming service, so we have "Disney", but it's not really Disney. It's Redstar, streaming Disney content.

It's mind boggling how Netflix and Amazon can offer a great Windows 10 app, but South Africans are blocked from installing the official Disney app

Hey there again a full factory should be in order please chose the option that removes all games and apps so there is no corrupted data that is showing thanks.

Another option if that doesn't work is a Offline Diagnostic Tool' I recommend this if my sentence above does not work.

Hi I thought the Day One and the App (Netflix for example) Achievements were removed and no longer shown at the Achievements List.
