    Corrupt boot animation or something else?


    For the past 2 or 3 updates (alpha skip ahead) when I’m booting up my Series X, instead of seeing the boot up animation, I’m seeing messed up color pixels (like no-signal on analog tv) while listening to the boot up sound. After that, everything looks fine. I’m about to do a system reset, but I’ve already done that a couple of times this year and every time I’m setting this as my home console. What happens if I’m out of “home console changes”? Note that I’m not actually changing the console, I’m just resetting it because of problems like that. Also, since the actual console didn’t change, if after resetting it I don’t choose to set it as my home console, will it still be my home console, but without counting down this time?

    Have you tried a factory reset and try doing an offline system update ? To me it seems you corrupted the os on the xbox installed to the internal drive. If you interrupted the update. So i suggest doing a fresh system update while offline after a factory reset. Apart from that any change in the boot animation aka the boot logo when you first boot up the xbox. The time it takes to get to the dashboard before and after this happened. That happened to my xbox series s regardless of being in standby and powersaving.

    So far I can't tell if clearing the cache actually fixes it and something else is corrupts, or something else completely.
