    I decided to subscribe to xbox game pass and wanted to play Sea of Thieves, a game that I already have installed in my pc on steam thanks to family share. Now I want to copy the game files from steam into the xboxgamepass folder but it doesnt let me do it,
    it says i need permitions and I tried a lot of things already.

    My internet is pretty slow and I dont want to wait for 50gb to download again when I already have them

    I'm sure you mean well, but that's not what the OP is asking. They are asking if they can copy the files from Steam into a directory PC Game Pass uses for its game installs.

    To the question:

    I'm sorry that isn't possible. Unlike Steam - or any other PC game download service - Game Pass on PC does it differently. The games are installed to a protected folder that can not be modified.

    You'll need to download it again. There is no other way around that. Sorry.

    Hi there, sorry to say but you aren't able to copy your steam game files over to your Xbox One console, this may be a feature in the future, but it isn't right now, however there is an app titled "Wireless Display" that allows you to play Steam games on
    your Xbox One! Hope this helped!

    I never do that, but you can try to acess that folder: "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages", acess the Monster Hunter Word folder (if exist), open saves folder (if exist) and copy that to Steam Game folder.

    But i think it's not possible, because Steam and Xbox apps use save games on diferents ways.

    Starfield is not recognizing my special pre-order items on one of my PCs, but it is on the rest.

    I found a fix on PC from a guy on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/166ugs5/this_save_relies_on_content_that_is_no_longer/

    1. go to your xbox folder :)/xbox games)
    2. in the xbox folder you will find 3 folders\
      1. Constellation
      2. Old Mars
      3. Starfield
    3. go into the Constellation folder and copy all the files except the content folder into the Starfield folder (all the EACExxx files)
    4. go into the Constellation folder -> go into the Content folder -> go into the data folder and copy the 3 files, then go into the Starfield folder -> Content folder -> data folder and paste the 3 files there.
    5. Repeat step 3 and 4 but now for the Old Mars folder. (Copy again the EACE files into the starfield folder and again copy the 3 files from the Old Mars data folder into the data folder of Starfield
    6. launch the game and the error should be gone

    Steam games and GamePass games, go into 2 very different folders. The game pass folders are often locked away or hidden. There is an option to do a "move" from one drive to another, but that's the only option.
