Copy and Paste on Xbox One (Can't)

Why can't we copy and paste on Xbox One?

For those of us who got the One early

Corrupt, learn something about software and development time, Microsoft can't just copy/paste Apps from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One.

As of now you are not able to copy or paste text inside the xbox one environment. You can suggest this feature to be added here: Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice or vote on an existing one related to your issue.

This is simply not true. The feature does exist. I and many others have been using it for a while on both the Windows 10 XBox app and the Smartglass app.

It's amazing to me that there are so many Ambassador's who don't have a clue about this feature! Yes it is a feature and does work!

If it is not working for you try this.

I've found the first thing to try is to do a HARD reboot of you XBox One. There seems to be an issue where something will happen in the background of the OS and the keyboard will stop working. In my experience so far a hard reboot will fix this and cause
the keyboard entry and copy/paste features to work again until the issue happens again.

Another thing to do to keep this issue for ocuring as often is to put the XBox in "energy-saving" (settings -> power mode & startup -> power mode -> energy-saving) mode. This makes it so the Xbox will completely power down when you turn it off instead of
going into is listening sleep mode. Of course the drawback to do this is that you will no longer be able to wake up your XBox with a voice command. For me, this was not big deal.
