Glad to hear that video games have helped you through a lot and keep strong dude. For me it was always that escapism and to a little bit as an adult it still does.

When playing I like to feel like I "AM" the character that I am playing and loose myself in the narrative.

just find that gaming takes my mind of all the daily stresses, I don't watch much on tv my escape is gaming my own world...

mental health has been a big part of my life and gaming has helped me a lot and still does by giving me something else to focus on other than negative stuff.

with anxiety its hard to get out and be social but for me gaming has helped me be social with people in another way.

i have heard people say that gaming has helped them with PTSD but i never heard their stories.thank you so much for sharing your story.i know that a lot of people have a hard time sharing their stories when it come to their rough past or current situations
with other.but i hope that they see this discussion topic and see that they are not alone and can find other to help them get through the rough times.

we are gamers when help our own.

I can't say I have anything similar to that but it does help to relieve the stress of the day or at least give me something else to stress over. lol
