Controlls switched around or are not working

Switch your console off, connect your controller and then switch the console back on.

Had the same problem with mine and that was a work around to get the console to recognise the controller.

unfortunately as ps4 and 5 controller don't use xinput they wont work these days, ps controllers work fine with most other games on pc except xbox provided content, ds4 sometimes works with windows store and xbox app games, in regards to using it over the xbox companion app, then your now out of luck and microsoft are a bit petty.

The controlers have IR sensors to know who is using the certain controller and it will switch the accounts automatically when you switch or if you switch contollers around when playing so you dont have to bother , very conveinient and there probably is more
than just that.

I have this issue all the time. My work around is to exit the game,switch off my controller, switch back on, launch game. Sometimes that works. Or in game settings set the voice chat to off and apply. The go to select game mode,go into other mode, select
game mode again and go back into BR. Finally go into settings and switch voice chat back on. Hope this helps

Copilot support article doesn't specifically mention that this feature only works for official Xbox controllers, so it
should work for almost anything (although YMMV with third-party controllers).

Does it help if you were to switch the second controller around? Let the copilot controller be the regular one, and the wheel controller the main one?
