Controllers stink

As a father of two i would like to why i have purchased 3 controllers in 3 months ?? They seem to get really HOT then just stop working!! checking u-tube it seems to be a common problem!!! Trying to register the newest ones warranty has taken me 45 mins
and you have me just chasing my tail!!

Pretty sure you guys could improve these units!!!!! Thanks for looking MS

My controller wont sync and connect but it will plugged in with a micro usb cord.

Having to play with it plugged in stinks.

Thanks for the replies... so, it's better not to charge the re chargeable batteries from the controller and just get the microsoft re chargeable kit? If so, then that stinks!

 

Sounds like you’ve been having a string of bad luck with your devices. A controller heating as you describe is NOT normal nor safe. I’ve owned 4 xbox one controllers (still rocking originals) since I got my Xbox 6 years ago and I’ve never had an issue
like that.

 

Bring them back to the store you've bought them at.

Try get a refund there.

You could return them to the store you purchased them from as some will simply replace them on the spot, If bought through microsoft then you have to register it for an in warranty replacement, I have heard of controls doing this when charging but its
very rare and to have 3 in a row do the same does not seem right, Have you tried changing your play and charge kit aswell specifically the usb cable if thats how you charge the batteries.

 

I've never heard of a controller getting hot. Are your kids being rough with them? Believe me, I know how kids are, I have two and we've gone through more controllers then we should have. I've had a One since launch and only had to replace 1 controller
myself and I play every night.

 

You are having some terrible luck there. I've had issues with controllers but never that. Usury thr mic port goes in mine. Have heard few ckmaints about controllers but never with them overheating before. They have a 3 month warranty so if within that
time period I would take back yo where you purchased from.

 

Are you using a wired controller?

 

I’m curious what you’re using to power them. With so many exhibiting the same issue I’m wondering if it’s the batteries being used. If it’s the batteries that came with them and this starts almost immediately then it really is down to terrible luck.

 

What kind of batteries and charger are you using?
