Controllers from Microsoft this year are not it!

I believe so, Chris. It is known that this affects a number of controllers and to ensure a better experience for customers Microsoft has increased the warranty period for this controller from 90 days to 1 year.

There is a 90 day warranty on all controllers from Microsoft in the US. Other regions will have more as the local consumer laws in that region requires technology to have a longer warranty.

The 1 year warranty you have is from Walmart themself, that is why Microsoft will not be honouring the warranty as the 90 days has most likely lapsed on your controller.

I know! Seems all newer controllers start drifting only after about 3 months. They use cheaper joystick modules to compete with Sony ps5. Microsoft knows gamers won’t just quit playing their games if their controller breaks, they know gamers will just buy another controller. It’s a clever cash grab. Think about it, you remember how long your controller lasted with 360? Mine lasted for years. Microsoft generates more revenue from you buying more controllers that break after 3 months than controllers that will lasts several years…..

I did the warranty through Microsoft, like 75 bucks after tax and protects console, kinect and 2 controllers for 3 years (2 years plus the 1 year from purchase. Must be within 45 days from purchase date.

I bought Microsoft Complete for Xbox Elite Controller with Accidental Damage Coverage (3 years) and have had the controller replaced, but now it shows like the replacement was not migrated to the plan. I need to get it fixed.

I have already had to file standard warranty replacements numerous times. I am yet to use this one after the 1 year manufacturer warranty. Not that that has expired I am blocked from using the "Microsoft Complete for Xbox Elite Controller with Accidental Damage Coverage (3 years)" because it was associated with another serial. I need a real person at microsoft to help.
