    So a few months ago my Xbox One started having issues where the wireless controller would disconnect. Connecting it to a cable worked.

    So I tried various things, updating the remote changed the batteries, I never sit too far from it, and what finally seemed to resolve the issue was power cycling. That fixed it, didn't have an issue for months.

    Now the issue is back, and the power cycle only occasionally helps.. It's not the controller, because I got a brand new one and its done the same thing.

    It will even disconnect while I have it hooked up to HDMI repeatedly, which I don't understand. I switched cables and still.

    Anyone know a way I can fix it? Probably just get a new Xbox?

    Try this
    support.xbox.com/.../wireless-controller-disconnects

    If that doesn't work make sure your controllers are updated otherwise test them on another console GameStop usually will test them for you, that way you can figure out if you need replacement controllers or a console repair. :)

    Hey mate,

    Best bet, would be to just disconnect the console from the Xbox App, then reconnect it. This will usually fix this kind of error :)

    Open the xbox app, on the left there should be a 'connect' option, in there just disconnect, then reconnect, and let us know if that works :)

    Hi there currently the only way to tell is either the rumble triggers stop or when the controller disconnects. Microsoft is aware and is working on a fix.
