    Controllers disconnecting after new system update


    I joined the beta program on my series x

    After downloading the system update I have noticed the following

    When a pad auto turns off after been left on it will no longer sync to the xbox and you cannot control it the only way I have got to resend is to fully restart the console by holing the power button for 10 seconds or so

    Then you can resend your pads

    Not even using a USB will get them to reconnect

    I have now had this happen twice in 2 days since the update

    Both pads as well so its an elite 2 and a xsx brand new pad

    XBOX one controller won't connect. I've tried everything.

    Because the NXE Update? I have also the Halo 5 Xbox One and the issue with random disconnects starts after the NXE Update on Nov 12. My old controller is working, my new halo controller isn't (disconnected every 30-45 min)

    Yes, just received my new X Box One and am having the EXACT same issue. This turkey will only and will ONLY connect to the controller AFTER a HARD RESET.

    It will connect with a cable but disconnects when cable is disconnected.

    I have tried with two(2) remote connected and it occurs with BOTH.

    I have the latest updates on both the system and controller

    ...so what is being done to fix this.

    I was also wanting to start the system with the remote controller like the 360 and this is or is not an option?? I will also let support know.

    Strange indeed Microsoft...fit it.

    Just to confirm, does the controller still disconnect with the cable as well? Does it disconnect randomly, or only at specific times in particular?

    What’s the exact model of the controller, and is this a third party one or a genuine one? If it’s an official Microsoft one, you can find the version number in the battery compartment.
