    Controllers cannot stay connected


    Hello

    Out of nowhere, my Xbox has developed a fault where no controllers with stay connected - neither wireless and wired up work

    It connects for a few seconds and then loses connection

    I’ve made sure everything is updated and have done multiple hard resets.

    Can anyone help with this please?

    How to connect my controller.

    My windows is up to date, however I cannot update the firmware of my controller as previously stated. When I go to xbox accessories on my PC and try to update my controller for the few seconds that it stays connected it says applying update but sits at 0% forever. And when you connect via bluetooth you cannot update said controller since I am on PC.

    Sorry you're having problems with your controller. Do you have one controller that is working fine and one controller that is not working? If so then it may be your controller. If not then it may be your console, which we'll need to figure out. Also can
    you verify that you performed the power cycle by actually unplugging the Xbox? With the instant-on feature often the Xbox does not fully shut down. If you've done this, updated the firmware on the controller, and still are having issues then I would recommend
    contacting support here to see if you still have a warranty on your controller. If you do have a warranty left on it then please
    go here and you can request a new controller.
