    Controllers and external hardrive


    So yesterday I went to play a game that is located on my external hardrive and when I tried to open it, I was getting an error (Don't remember what it was cause I was p.o.'d) but after I power cycled my xbox one, my controllers wouldn't connect and my external hard drive doesn't show up. Anyone else have this issue and can anyone help?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    The hard drive may have been corrupted. Please unplug the hard drive and follow the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Unplug your console for 5 minutes.

    3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    Keep the hard drive unplugged.

    what i did to fix it was got an external hardrive put all of my staff on my xbox harddrive and put it on the external

    and i formatted the xbox hardrive

    then i run the update and it worked

    Which Xbox One model would be best 4 me?

    Currently it would be hard to find an Xbox One with a hardrive with more than 500GB, that being said you should invest in either an external hardrive or a new hardrive with at least a 1TB.
