Controller works in games not on dashboard

I was playing Call of Duty Vanguard when my game freezes and crashes. Then my contoller buttons stopped working on the dashboard. So i need to use mouse and keyboard to navigate the dashboard, but playing any games the contoller works.

I just started having the same issue. Real **** annoying. I hope.someone figures out the fix.

controller works on every other game, obviously the dashboard too, but not 2k14

Same issue. The controller still works, as you press the Xbox button on the controller to get back to the dashboard, but you can’t control anything within the game.

So it’s not a problem with a controller, the game has a bug.

hi everyone, see a few posts with no answers to the controller sync problems and games dropping back to the dashboard, simple fix, power up the console, wait for the dashboard to load, unplug controller, and then unplug the xbox power lead from the wall,
plug controller back in, the xbox should load up and BOOM!! your controller is working and so are your games
