Controller works for 15 mins then I can't use the buttons even if it's connected.

Does this issue happen across all games and the Xbox menu, or is it limited to a specific game or app?

If you’re using rechargeable batteries, try switching to a different battery and see if that makes a difference. Also, testing the controller on a PC could help determine whether the issue is with the controller itself or the console.

Since this is happening with multiple controllers, a firmware issue is unlikely, but it’s still worth checking for updates using the Xbox Accessories App:

My problem is similar to brydog23

my controller works fine until it disconnects, be it i disconnected it or it stayed idle for 15 minutes, after that i hold the xbox button and the controller shows its connected, however no buttons work, not even if another controller was connected, the
Kinect works fine however to reconnect the controller i have to power-cycle the console every-time.

That is an interesting situation for sure.

If you unplug the controller, pull out any batteries, and let the controller sit for about 15 mins.

Then using a USB cable connect the controller to the console and power it back on.

Does the controller still show the same symptoms?

Yeah, the behavior is very weird, I tested it with my phone and worked fine.

I'm using an Asus BT500 adapter (not built-in), but that dosen't seem to be the issue either. And I only connect my Xbox Controller to it, that's why I bought it

As I said, I tested to see if the adapter is the issue, by connecting a PS4 Controller, and BT headphones at the same time with the Xbox Controller.

And played Forza that way, since that's what I play the most with the controller and I get disconnects. And while playing the game with the PS4 controller, and listening through the headphones, I could see the Xbox controller getting disconnects, while the others were fine.

When I'm using the Xbox Controller, I get the first disconnect within 5 mins, and after that every 10-15 mins

Thank you for your suggestion but controller still turns off even when plugged in after it's been idle for 15 min.
