Controller won't turn on when plugged into console

I’ve had the one s for a year and have accumulated 4 wireless controllers. I recently bought insignia rechargeable batteries for each. Three of them charge when plugged into the console using a microUSB cable. However one does not. At first, I checked the
battery but switching batteries between controllers did not change which controller did not work. Every other controller vibrates and turns on when plugged into the console except for this one. The controller turns on when using the Insignia battery or AA
batteries but I think the microUSB port does not work. How do I fix it?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums have you got spear USB cable which you can try if not I would advice try to get one just make sure it not the cable.

if that doesn't work I would advise you to send you controller away to get
repaired which Julian_ have said.

If your controller is under warrant it might be possible to have that repaired however if your controller is out of warranty Microsoft will not offer any repai service for your controller.

Looking at those battery packs online it appears they are not designed to charge via the micro usb port on the controller so that may also be the issue as you could have caused a short circuit trying to do that.

Hi! I'm not sure wether it's possible or adviced to try to fix this yourself so it might be necessary to send your controller in for a repair (which you should definitely do if it still has warranty).

Try this..

Turn off TV, AVR if using and console. Remove the power cable from the console and connect the controller to the console with a plug / play uSB charge cable.

Restore the console power cable and turn on in this order...

First the TV, then AVR if using and last of all the console.

Let us know the result.

Xbox one Console won't turn on. It just stopped turning on but it yellow light on the adapter when plugged in.
