Controller won't detect headset after firmware update

This is the first clue I've seen that identifies a controller firmware update as breaking headset detection. I hope Xbox Support is paying attention to reports like this.

reset, perform a full power cycle, or physically disconnect your Xbox One console to reboot it completely and fix many common issues. This process does not erase any of your games or data.

I am using a Nubwo model N2 headset. I'll be alright until the next update. Good to know Microsoft is on it.

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue using your headset.

What kind of headset is it if you don't mind me asking?

I would suggest that if you haven't already tried, to give the steps outlined in

Xbox One Chat Headset troubleshooting a shot.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, then I would say try a soft factory reset.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network. Also make
sure that you select the option denoted reset and keep my games and apps.

Heads up though, there is a known issue being worked on by Microsoft and Xbox concerning controllers/consoles not recognizing any third party headsets.Although there is a workaround that has
been working for some. I would say that you try maybe purchasing a headset adapter
to try and get around this problem, otherwise you might have to wait for Microsoft and Xbox to fix this problem in a future update.
