Controller won't connect to adapter

Discus and support Controller won't connect to adapter in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So I use controller support for some steam games and I use my controller with an adapter plugged in to the PC.     Controller won't connect to adapter


    So I use controller support for some steam games and I use my controller with an adapter plugged in to the PC. It has been working for a long time now it has been disconnecting frequently. So I looked through the support pages and said I should use a USB
    extender. I tried that it didn't work. So I just used a spare controller I had and that doesn't disconnect frequently. What was wrong with the first controller I used and if possible how do I fix that problem?

    Headset not connecting

    my headset won't connect to my x box even though it has done before. It works in other devices. I have a wireless controller. Do I need to connect it with an adapter?

    It worked for 2 minutes yesterday then I unplugged it from my controller nowith it won't connect again.

    Can't connect guitar control to pc w/ adapter, help?

    I've been trying to connect my Xbox one rock band guitar controller to my pic for GH3+ but the game won't recognize the input with the wireless adapter. Anyone else encounter a similar problem?

    so in troubleshooting and deeper looking, it would appear that my PC does not inherently come with bluetooth, the only thing really connecting my controller has been the wireless adapter, although it still doesn't answer why a wired connection won't suffice. it jsut won't pick up the existence of my controller

    Have you tried connecting headset to controller with a headset adapter connected to controller. The adapter has volume controls on it.

    The controller won't bind to the adapter

    If the binding instructions are not working, try the following solutions:

    • Ensure you're within range (6 meters or less) of the adapter and it's in line of sight to the controller.
    • If you have an Xbox controller, try rebinding your controller to the console by pressing the Connect button on the console, and then the Connect button on the controller. The LEDs will flash and become solid when the binding is successful. If your controller
      does bind, you have isolated the issue to the Wireless Adapter for Windows. If your controller does not bind to your console, see Set
      up the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows      .
    • Unplug your adapter, reboot your device, and then plug it back in (to another port if possible), and try again.
