Controller warranty problem - expired?

Hi,

At the end of last year, I sent my controller to Microsoft Return Center for a warranty claim. I received this controller together with my console, and before sending it, the warranty was valid until November 2025. Unfortunately, I just checked the "My Devices" page, and it now says that the controller is no longer covered by the warranty. The issue was repaired free of charge because the joystick drift was not caused by me. Now the same thing is happening with the other joystick, and I don't know what to do.

Please help.

Verify that you are within the support window listed under Contact hours.

Click "Contact Us."

Choose the item from the drop-down menu that best addresses your issue.

View the support articles that are offered on the page to see if they can address your issue. If you need more help, click See contact options.

Choose the option to "Chat online" or "Request a call" on the following screen, then fill in the required information.

This is really weird, try updating the controller through the Xbox Accessories App, if the problem persists use your control's warranty.

No, the "month -9" does not mean that the warranty has been used for 9 months. It means that there are 9 months left until the warranty expires.

In your case, the warranty on your Xbox controller ends on January 6, 2024. Since today is July 6, 2023, there are 9 months left until the warranty expires.

Microsoft's limited warranty for Xbox controllers is 1 year, so your controller is still within the warranty period.

If your warranty is expired they will charge you for a new one which will do the same thing eventually. Until they decide to build better quality controllers this problem will not go away
