Controller turns on then off after 3 seconds.

My Xbox one controller turns on for a few seconds then turns off. Brand new batteries. It works on the console for only 3 seconds. My micro USB port doesn't work so my only option is batteries. Thank you for reading.

Everything suddenly going crazy

It started with my headset not working, after a bit of playing I got annoyed, and thought turning my controller on and off might help. when i did it connected but then the controller wouldn't work. It just stayed lit up and normally i believe the controller
flashes 3 times when connected, this flashed once before turning solid. after that happened i turned my Xbox off then back on, same stuff with the controller and now my kinect wont work. I can use gestures every few second it turns on before it disconnects
again.

Xbox One controller not turning off after turning off console

While not a similar issue, I am unable to turn off my controller manually. Pressing the "XBox" button for 3 seconds should bring a pop up on screen asking if I want to turn off the controller or the console. That doesn't seem to be happening. I tried removing
the batteries and powering the controller on again. Did not work then either.

I also use the Chatpad and have it plugged into a second controller.

When you want to switch over to the Chatpad just turn off controller 1 by either holding down the Guide button untill the "Turn off controller" option appears or take the battery out of the controller.

When you turn on the 2nd controller with the Chatpad attached it will be assigned to player one.

Note that if you turn on the second controller while the first is still on it will become player two untill the XBOX is turned off, so make sure the second pad is activated AFTER you have turned off the first.

Hello again, if you have a USB cable, try to follow the procedures bellow.

First remove the batteries from the controller and for 1 minute keep pressing all the buttons on the controller and moving the knobs.

After you're done, plug the USB cable controller into your console and turn it on.

Then clear the cache on the console and check if the control has any updates to be made.

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

After the console restarts and I'm at the console start screen, put the batteries back in the controller, remove the USB cable and see if it back to normal.

try to reboot the console, turn off the xbox by holding the xbox button for 60 second it will turn off automatically then after 1 minute turn it on by using the controller, and load the game again.
