Controller turn off when pressing RS

I'm sorry you have this problem, researching on the internet I was able to find that in the forum, the independent advisor Gerardo, recommends the following steps for a solution.

That would unfortunately indicate that it is a hardware problem, so I recommend that you apply its warranty if it is still valid (and if not, you can still send it for repair but at a cost) in the following way.

1. Please go to the following link and register your control with its serial number if it is not already registered, using the "Add device" button in the upper right corner:

2. In your control, click on the "Information and support" option and then on "Start order". Finally, complete the information requested to finish requesting your replacement/repair.

I have the same problem and it occurs irrespective of what console or PC it is connected to. Pressing the RS hard seems to disconnect the power in the controller and it becomes unresponsive until plugged in with a cable. Even when plugged in you can see the controller switch off then switch back on when pressing RS. It seems like when the pressure on the RS exceeds a certain point it flexes the board inside the controller causing the internal battery to disconnect (only a theory I cannot prove this) or a short circuit of some kind that forces it to shut down.

Is there any way/setup of getting rid of RS press down option? Often when aiming i press down on the RS which mess me up.

When I press the turn on button it flashes and turns on my console after that the controller turns off.

You can simply press and hold the XBox icon button in the middle of the controller and it will give you three options: Turn Off Console, Turn Off Controller or Cancel. When you select Turn Off Controller, you may still get the 'Reconnect Controller' warning.
