Controller sound gone in headset

Hi

It sounds like the controllers may need to be updated, Or the headsets themselves may need some firmware updates, What kind of head sets are they? Have you gone to there website support pages?

To continue with that, I took the chord that connects the wired controller to the headset's sound controlling thing of power and switched 'em so the side that was connected to the controller was connected to the headset and vice versa. The issue was gone
for about 10 minutes. After that, It returned to its state of buzzing.

Thanks for the advice DJE, but one of the reasons I purchased a wired controller was to ease my unending desire for an all immersive experiance to reflect my glorious triumphes and explosions.

I did turn the vibrating off to see if it made the issue go away, and it did, along with disconnecting the chord that connects the controller to the headset.

Sounds like a headset or a xbox controller problem ... do u have another controller to try the headset in to see if its the controller that is the problem? Or do u have another headset to plug into the controller to see if the other headset is the problem?

Good to hear, is this headset wireless to the point only wire is from headset to controller and sound controlled from a mixamp?

Its a conspiracy. MSFT did not release simulated surround sound on purpose. It is a marketing strategy. Turtlebeach and Polk headsets are ready and capable of simulating surround sound as soon as the firmware is released. The Xbox headset will NOT properly
be able to simulate surround sound. So, to boost their sales they made it to their advantage by ensuring NO next gen controller headset has surround sound from the controller. The MSFT headset actually sounds pretty good and is way cheaper then the XO7
and Polk (I bought them all). Think i'm crazy? If you read different posts you will see people saying how they are buying the MSFT headsets since there is no controller surround sound and because they are cheaper.
