Controller smoking; stopped turning on

A wireless controller I've had for less than 5 months and has only seen moderate usage started getting very hot around the D-pad and smelled like smoke. It kept powering off and now it won't even stay on for more than a second. There is no way this should
have happened, could you please help? At the time it burned up inside, I was playing a game and using a pair of headphones. The controller was running on AA Duracell batteries that meet the specifications of the controller. I would really appreciate my controller
being replaced or an avenue to replace it.

After attempting to use a flash drive on Xbox 360 the system now will not turn on

after plugging in a kingston datatraveler 100 G3 16gb flash drive my xbox's controller slots stopped working then after turning off the system it will not start back up

the power brick light stays in orange... can someone help me out on what to do??

 

Controller giving me issues.

I had a problem with mine as well. My bundled headset wouldn't work and after plugging in and unplugging it a couple times, my controller completely stopped working. I turned everything off, then unplugged the power for the console to make sure it was completely
shut down. Then when turning it back on, the controller worked again.

Please discontinue using the controller if you have not already done so. When it is safe to do so you will want to reach out to any needed emergency services, then reach out to the phone team (1-800-469-9269) to look into getting this taken care of.
