    So i was playing Battlefield 2042 on PC (Origin) and i've always used my Xbox controller on Bluetooth (really should start using Mouse&Key) but suddenly it stopped working and the buttons wouldn't respond. I then noticed all the buttons were remapped like the start button is A and LT and RT is to look up and down. X Y A B act as a D Pad??? Only happens on bluetooth but when i connect wired it works perfectly? i also noticed when im on desktop while connected to bluetooth it works fine only in game. Also does not work on Smite ( EPIC games launcher) Tried everything, From updating firmware on controller, reconnected bluetooth, all the obvious things, battery, reset procedure.

    I works perfectly fine via cable both in game and out but as soon as it switches to bluetooth, nothing.

    I did update the controller through xbox accessories as it advised me it needed an update. as well as my drivers on PC. Was crossing my fingers hoping that was it, but nope. same issue. I don't know if its some sort of different update on the console but i'll have to try that later along with a different controller.

    I know someone said to buy an Xbox adapter for PC and it fixed it but sheesh. it was going fine till now. I'll see.

    Also, if you test the controller using the accesories app, is everything working as usual there?

    What if you use the controller via cable on your PC, is it working normally?

    But as even with a different device the controller is not working properly, I think could be an issue with the latest firmware.

    If you're able to do it, please try downgrading it (but for this you need an Xbox console):

    Also, to isolate even more the issue, if possible. Try using a different Xbox controller on your PC and phone (connect it to phone, then to PC)

    So i connected the controller to my S22 Ultra and the buttons were also messed up there while i tried a game like World of Tanks. perhaps not in the same way as PC but Y was A this time and right stick was B. I connected and used Xbox accessories with bluetooth and tested each button and it picks it up fine. Very strange Only in game is when i see the problem i guess. i'll press guide button and open up xbox game bar and everything responds the right way.

    Yeah, the last resource will be get the Wireless adapter, this is due to some bluetooth modules/hardware are not completely compatible with the Xbox controller.

    In case you didn't try it, try reinstalling your Wi-Fi/Bluetooth driver.

    Or try installing a previous driver version

    Keep me posted when you're able to try everything
