    Controller Problems with XBox One after HDD crash


    Hello to everybody,

    im new here and i didn´t find anything about my problem:

    [Mod Removed - self repair discussion not allowed]. Everything worked fine and I get my Xbox up and running. But now my Controllers won´t connect, not Wireless nor wired over USB. I bought a "only" wired controller to see if it´s my original
    XBox wireless controller or the console.

    I tested Controllers on USB with Wondows 10, and they all work well.

    So there is something with my console i suggest.

    Does anyone has experienced such error behavior?

    Hello Andi,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. IF this is on your Xbox console we suggest doing an

    offline update.     This should take care of any issues if files are bad, corrupt or missing.

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue involving the controllers for the Xbox One console are not being recognized both wireless and wired in.

    Have you attempted to review our support article for updating the Xbox One controller to ensure
    that the controllers themselves are also up to date?

    If this has been attempted, the controllers would then need to be tested upon another Xbox One console, or the console tested with other controllers?

    Hi Brad,

    thanks for your fast answer, but I used the latest OSU1 file (ver xxxxx.181128.1200 i think). So i have a mystery here :)

    I could upload the systemupdate offline from my USB Stick, that was no problem, but after that non of my controllers will work. Even the USB ports seems to be "defective". But as I told the OSU1 Update functioned properly over USB.

    Any other suggestions?

    HDD problems. Please Help!

    Could be the harddrive itself that crashed and is slowly dying after the reformatting. just like any piece of technology it will die after abit of use and abuse. (not to say your abusing your HDD) replacing the HDD might be your best bet on this one.

    are you digital or physical this gen?

    Weiand13, if I can ask how does a difference in the method of delivery negate one being "just in case"? For example, HDD crashes with Disc/ Install. Install on a new HDD. HDD crashes with Digital/ Install. DL on new HDD.



    There is no difference in that regards.
