    Controller not working


    Hello there!

    I have got a problem with my controller. I am trying to connect my xbox360 controller to the pc with a charger-kit. It works fine, my computer detects my controller but my controller won't work. The Xbox logo keeps blinking on and off and I don't know why.
    I've tried the recommended software on the Microsoft website, I've tried to update the software used by the controller using the device manager but unfortunately no positive result. I hope someone can help me. If I haven't given you enough information about
    this problem, please contact me as soon as possible.

    Controller not working

    It lights up when I stick it into my PC, and just now when I retried it on the Xbox it flashed on the top left and bottom right sections, and now it's fixed. Apparently it needed a kickstart from my PC or something, thanks!

    Are you able to test this controller out on another device, like your console or another computer, to rule out a hardware issue?

    Separately, I have seen this issue before with lower quality wired controllers (off brand). It could be something to do with that. But if reinstalling drivers hasn't helped, I'm not sure what else would do besides contact the controller manufacturer directly
    at that point.

    The USB play and charge kit for xbox 360 does NOT make it a wired controller
    - only transfers power, not data. You will see it as a device but there's no driver or any software that will make this work.

    The only way to connect a wireless xbox 360 controller to a PC is with the xbox 360 USB wireless adapter for windows. You can also buy a purely wired xbox 360 controller from xbox or a 3rd party manufacturer: they all will work.

    I would suggest an xbox one controller as those wireless controllers DO turn into a wired controller when a micro USB cable is used. Bluetooth is also available on newer ones.

    I've heard of this before, you may need to get a new controller. There is no way to fix it. Also, when did you buy it, it may still be under warranty.

    Xbox One Wireless Controller     page to help troubleshoot your controller.

    Let us know the results.
    That just deals with controller disconnecting so that is of no help to me and my problem
