Controller not working on NBA2k23

Hello, really weird issue happening to my controller. I'm using a brand new Xbox controller on my PC to play NBA2K23 . I was using an older Xbox one controller ever since I bought the game in December, it worked fine until a couple months ago and I tried all the troubleshooting that I found online, I enabled and disabled steam input, tried to remap the buttons and everything. I updated the drivers, restarted my computer, uninstalled the game and reinstalled it but nothing worked. I just bought a brand new Xbox controller hoping it would solve the issue, but it did not. I tested the controller on various other games on steam, and epic games, the controller works perfectly for every other game. On NBA2K23 the joysticks do not work at all, the B button is recognized as the A button, A is recognized as Y, and X as B. I have spoke with the 2K support for almost 2 months, they have tried to tell me it was on steams end or on my end, and they keep saying they need to escalate the issue to someone who can help me. I have been waiting for 2 weeks for a response but have not gotten one, and its very frustrating because I would like to play the game. I posted on reddit, but no help and I hope someone on here can help me with this issue.

Alright, thank you I will contact steam support and see if they can help. The 2k support that I contacted have not helped me at all, so I hope steam can.

Hi there!

If your controller mapping works fine on other games, the issue here is on the game itself and not on your console settings. You may try to clear the game's data locally if that fixes it.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select My games & apps > See all > Games.
Highlight the game title, and then press the Menu button on your controller.
Select Manage game and add-ons > Saved data.
Select Delete all to remove the local save of this game, then follow the prompts.
After you delete the local save, restart your Xbox:
Press and hold the Xbox button in the centre of your controller.
Select Restart console, then follow the prompts.

If that doesn't work, you may consider reinstalling the game. But before doing that, you could try to reach out 2K Support to report the issue and ask for further assistance.
