I downloaded the game here on my console and after trying it a few times I managed to make it work as follows.

Start the game with the keyboard and mouse connected to the console and the controller turned off, I connected the account I wanted as a player and this account was connected to the keyboard and mouse.

Then I turned on the controller and the option to press Y and connect the second account appeared. After that start a game to check if it was working and it worked

On your PC you can use anything you want to connect any controller to your PC.

As long as the controller uses the DirectPlay interface, it will work in basically all modern games.

However, it might be that you don't see the specific button labels in games. So the game will probably tell you to "Press Button [Number]" instead of "Press Cross" or "Press Triangle"

I am having the same issue. I got my chatpad after the Nov 2015 update so I'm not sure if it is related to that or not. Apparently it is not game specific because I have issues with F1 2015. My controller (new 3.5mm mic plug) is USB connected to the console
on the left side. Chatpad into the controller and Microsoft 3.5mm mic into the chatpad. All updates applied and if I unplug the chatpad and use the mic directly into the comtroller, it works fine.

This happened to one of my controllers after the February controller update. Only home button works if connected via wireless, when I hold the home button the only option that pops up is to turn off console, as if the controller is not even connected. When
I connect via USB everything works fine.
